Brief Company History
The publisher, GPD Publishing, had it's start in 1997. Over time, the company took on different names with different partners like SuGaR Artz Productions (1997), Apparition Printing (1999), Galaxie Page Design (1999-2001), Pensacola Internet Community Newspaper (PIC) (2001) - but has remained to it's goal to produce a final product for clients with new ideas expressed in design. The owner/operator business adjusted it's format from internet/desktop design to the newspaper industry after being contracted to complete ad design & newspaper layout for Krystal SAND Publishing(KSP) of Pensacola Florida in mid 2001. KSP's main monthly publication, the Gulf Coast Women's News continues to be a great success and is working on 10 years of circulation. Ozarks Family News (OFN) and Ozarks Local (OL) is a similar layout, and audience (women, families). OFN conception began May 2002, after a move to a small town of Waynesville Missouri and ended November 2002. Testing new markets took the business to Indiana, Wisconsin, and Illinois. Mid-2004 plans are being made to reintroduce a compariable, affordable way of client advertising. Pensacola Florida is a new market under GPD Publishing study. Early 2006, GPD Publishing emerged from newspaper ad publishing to book binding. The company is now geared to publishing local authors by paperback. Too, they arrange for local and area book signing inside businesses.
